Directly after unpacking and plugging the battery with the USB cable to the LED strip you will get the following result:
Blinkenlabs provides a software called PatternPaint, which enables you to upload/change the patterns the tape is showing. The software runs on Mac OS X and on Windows. The BlinkyTape can also be programmed via the Arduino IDE.
